Intel Unveils Articul8 AI: Revolutionizing the Future with DigitalBridge

Intel Announces Formation of Articul8 AI, Expanding its Presence in the AI Sector

Intel Corporation has recently revealed the establishment of Articul8 AI, Inc., an independent company dedicated to generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) software platforms for enterprise customers. This strategic move by Intel aims to further its involvement in the rapidly evolving AI sector.

Operating independently, Articul8 AI, Inc. was created using the intellectual property and technology developed at Intel. The company’s main objective is to provide a full-stack, vertically-optimized, and secure GenAI software platform. This platform ensures that customer data, training, and inference remain within the enterprise security perimeter, addressing concerns related to privacy and security in AI adoption. Moreover, it offers deployment flexibility by allowing users to choose between cloud, on-premises, or hybrid models.

Leadership at Articul8 AI

Articul8 AI is led by Arun Subramaniyan, formerly the vice president and general manager in Intel’s Data Center and AI Group, who now serves as the company’s CEO. This appointment demonstrates Intel’s commitment to leveraging its extensive AI and high-performance computing (HPC) domain knowledge for enterprise-grade GenAI deployments.

Venture Investment in Articul8 AI

DigitalBridge Ventures, the venture initiative of DigitalBridge Group, played a significant role as the lead investor in Articul8 AI. Alongside Intel, a group of established venture investors, including Fin Capital, Mindset Ventures, Communitas Capital, GiantLeap Capital, GS Futures, and Zain Group, have also taken equity stakes in Articul8. This diverse investment backing reflects the confidence in Articul8’s potential to drive digital infrastructure through GenAI.

Optimized Platform and Deployment Scenarios

Articul8’s platform has been optimized on Intel hardware architectures, including Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors and Intel® Gaudi® accelerators. This highlights the synergy between Intel’s hardware capabilities and Articul8’s software expertise. The platform supports a range of hybrid infrastructure alternatives, making it versatile in various deployment scenarios. Early deployments at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) have demonstrated the platform’s effectiveness in industries that require high security and specialized domain knowledge, such as financial services, aerospace, semiconductors, and telecommunications.

Driving AI Adoption in the Enterprise Sector

The creation of Articul8 underscores Intel’s strategy of promoting AI adoption in the enterprise sector. The GenAI software platform developed by Articul8 is designed to be infrastructure and hardware-agnostic, enabling companies to rapidly and cost-effectively build, deploy, and manage secure GenAI applications. This approach is expected to transform customer data into actionable insights, delivering long-term business value across various mission-critical industries.
